Thabisile Dlamini-Smit
Thabisile Dlamini-Smit obtained both her Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degrees from the University of Cape Town. She possesses in excess of twenty (20) years’ experience within the legal profession and has served as an Acting Judge of the High Court of South Africa, Western Cape Division.
She is duly admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and further holds admission as both a Conveyancer and Notary Public. In addition to having the right of appearance in the High Court, she is also an accredited Mediator and has served as a Mediator, Conciliator and Adjudicator with the Community Schemes Ombudsman.
Ms Dlamini-Smit’s professional contributions extend beyond practice. She currently serves as a board member of the Black Conveyancers Association Training Academy NPC and is a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Legal Practice Council (Western Cape). She is also an Examiner in the competency-based examinations for Legal Candidate Practitioners, Conveyancers and Notary Publics and has also served as the Vice President of the Cape Town Attorneys Association and as a board member of the Two Oceans Marathon NPC.
